What is WIS Digital Leaders?
WIS Digital Leaders is a student-led technology club at West Island School, Hong Kong. We run peer tech-support sessions, organise events, and help the school community make the most of digital tools.
Who can join Digital Leaders?
Any motivated student from Year 7 upwards can apply. We welcome students from all year groups regardless of prior experience — enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
How do I apply to join?
Applications open at the start of each recruitment round. Head to our Recruitment page for the latest application form and deadlines.
When do recruitment rounds happen?
We typically run recruitment at the beginning of each academic year. Keep an eye on the school noticeboard, digital screens, and this website for announcements.
What roles and teams are available?
Digital Leaders is organised into four teams: Management, Design, Code, and Research. Each team focuses on a different aspect of our work. You can learn more on the Team page.
What skills will I develop?
Members develop a wide range of skills including troubleshooting, cybersecurity awareness, programming, graphic design, project management, and communication — all through hands-on experience.
How often does the club meet?
We meet regularly throughout the school week for support sessions and team meetings. Specific times are shared with members at the start of each term.
